Postkort fra 2045: The Repair Libraries

Dear Morten,
The Repair Libraries hit five years this month. Every municipality converted old buildings into open workshops — tools, materials, master craftspeople who just... help. No booking fees, no means testing, you walk in with your broken thing and walk out having fixed it yourself.
Birthe taught me to solder yesterday. Proper through-hole technique, none of that surface mount nonsense. Henrik finally fixed his grandfather's radio after three Saturdays and two arguments about capacitor polarity.
The libraries started as "circular economy infrastructure" until politicians realized people just wanted to fix stuff and stopped adding jargon. Now it's tools, benches, coffee, and the quiet satisfaction of making something work again.
Lars says it's inefficient compared to just buying new. He's there every Tuesday refinishing furniture.
Turns out repair isn't just about objects.
/Igor
