Postkort fra 2045: The Bench That Counted Me

The Bench That Counted Me

Maja,

Sat at Assistens today on my lunch — the bench near the linden that the kommune tagged last spring. You know the one. It pings my work feed every time someone sits on it: "occupancy +1, dwell time updating." I helped write that schema. Today I was the +1.

The data looks tidy from inside the office. Out here it is just me and an old man eating a pølse, both of us being counted.

I keep thinking about Far. Three years now. He would have hated how clean the path is — they pulled the moss off the stones in April for the heat-mapping. The lindens still smell the same though, and a kid ran past chasing one of those slow delivery bots and apologised to it, which Far would have liked.

Tell Liv her drawing arrived. The dog has six legs and I am not going to be the one to mention it. She will figure it out, or she won't, and either way it goes on the fridge.

I am fine. Just tired in the specific way June makes me tired. Say hi to Malmö for me.

A.
