Postkort fra 2044: The Empty Chair by the Window

Kære Kasper,
I know I said I wouldn't write again so soon, only... the rain started at four this morning and I was already awake, so.
Mrs. Jensen from number 12 told me her granddaughter in Aarhus had her transit chip glitch last week — walked through the gate and it just... wouldn't let her out. An hour on the platform. I know you'll say it's nothing, Bedste, they fix it in minutes, but I kept thinking about you alone at Banegården at midnight and I couldn't sleep past it.
The chestnut outside the kitchen is doing its pale green thing. Preben always said it looked like the tree was embarrassed. I laughed at that for thirty years and I still don't know why it's funny.
I bought too many rundstykker again. The bakery's little oven-drone knows my order before I've finished speaking, which is either clever or rude, I haven't decided...
Write when you can. Not because I'm worried — I'm not — only because your handwriting is getting better and I like to see it.
Your grandmother, Birthe
P.S. Bring a proper jacket when you visit. The weather is lying.
