Postkort fra 2044: Akustisk Wayfinding

Iben,
okay you have to hear this — i got the gig. THE gig. københavns kommune is paying ME (me!! the person who lived on rugbrød for two months) to design the station ambience for the new Ringen line. they call it "akustisk wayfinding." translation: the trains are too quiet and people keep walking into pillars, so they want a sound designer to make each station feel like somewhere.
nørreport is going to be wind through reeds. flintholm: a slow heartbeat (don't ask, the brief was weird). mine is islands brygge — i'm doing it as muffled summer, like hearing a party from across the harbour. i recorded pigeons all morning from the balcony. lars upstairs thinks i've lost it. i probably have.
anyway i bought real coffee. the expensive kind. i sat on the floor of the studio and listened to my own pigeons for forty minutes and cried a little, in a good way? berlin you, you would understand.
come visit when the line opens in september. i'll walk you through every station and tell you which sounds are mine. i'll be unbearable. you'll love it.
