Postkort fra 2042: The Bench That Counts Me

Maja,
Small professional development: I have become a statistic in my own report.
We put occupancy sensors under 400 public benches this spring. My idea, technically. The council wanted to know which benches are "underperforming" before we remove them — and since I insisted on evidence rather than vibes, I got the evidence budget. Fine. Good, even.
Then I started eating lunch on bench 0114, Kapelvej, by the bicycle shed. Every day since April. Twenty-one minutes, roughly.
Last week the quarterly dashboard flagged 0114 as a high-value social node. Recommended: retain, plus a second bench and a bin. There is a rendering. There is a line item. Someone in Økonomi called it "a lovely example of the data working."
It is me. It has always been me. One man with a rye sandwich, sensed 108 times, promoted to a community.
I have not corrected anyone. I have decided this is my pension.
The lindens on Kapelvej dropped their leaves three weeks early again. Twenty-seven degrees in late September. That part nobody needs a sensor for.
Kiss Freja. Tell her Far is a demographic now.
A.
