Learning to like me
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Since most of us hate ourselves, that’s working out fine, Jesus.
Not sure the Son of God was advocating hate.
Probably not, because of the love thing.
It’s the second half of the sentence that’s the hard part.
Love myself?
Most days I don’t even like me.
Seeing myself through the wrong lenses.
Like money made.
Degrees earned.
Accomplishments achieved.
Stuff accumulated.
Hard to change that perspective.
Find a new narrative.
To see me as someone likable.
At least some of the time.
