An End to Week-long Immersion Courses

For the past 19 years, the week-long "immersion course" has been the mainstay of my teaching. To be sure, this is a very intense learning experience. However, all good things eventually come to an end and that time is now for the week-long course.

Because of this, the following already-scheduled courses are now in their final chapter and being retired. If you were thinking about taking one of these, space is available. To sweeten the deal, I recently started offering an "individual rate" that is greatly discounted from the usual rate.

  • Rafting Trip, March 9-13, 2026.
  • Crusty Interpreter, April 20-24, 2026.
  • SICP, June 1-5, 2026.

Is This an End to Courses?

In short, no. Over the past few years, I have experimented with a number of short-courses and may continue to do that. I have also developed a new course Ruckus that I'd like to continue in some way. I may also introduce some new courses in a different format. However, in the short term, I'd expect most of my courses to be going on an indefinite hiatus. I'm actually going back to school for a bit and was planning to take some time off to recharge. In the meantime, I'd simply say "watch this space."

Cheers,
Dave
