October pleasures from Cwmdu Music: Sunday 27 October 3pm
On Sunday 27 October at 3pm, the final concert of Cwmdu Music’s 2024 season features award-winning Welsh artist Claire Victoria Roberts, and blends folk and jazz traditions. Together with fellow musicians Jacob Savage (keyboards) and the Treske quartet, they’ll be playing a set that went down a storm at the Manchester jazz festival earlier this year. It’s a varied programme, exploring music from the American Songbook to Bossa Nova.
Claire is a really talented musician, who has won national awards (e.g Welsh Music Guild’s Young Composer, Royal Philharmonic Composition Prize). Do come and be carried away from the autumn greyness, with the wonderful sounds of her ensemble!
