Just over a month until our fabulous annual visit from the Gwent Chamber Orchestra, on Saturday, 28th September 7:30pm at St. Michael & All Angels, Cwmdu, NP8 1RW.

In its ninth season, the Festival offers a weekend of concerts, discussions and films featuring music by Shostakovich, Bach, Britten, Watkins, Dilnot Johnson, Beethoven, Price, Cashian, Schnittke, Haydn and Mozart. Performances by Fitzwilliam String Quartet, Sarah Nicolls, Huw Watkins, Robin Michael, and our own Sinfonia Cymru Quartet, with panellists Stephen Johnson and Peter Florence.
The BBC Proms are in full swing: catch Prom 33: Titans of British Music BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Martyn Brabbins. Also Prom 29: Jonathan Scott – Organ Recital, was a stunning demonstration of the performer’s transcription skills. Includes works by Ives and Tchaikovsky.
