Hi y'all - the rona got me. No worries, I'm fine - just living the fact that when you don't rest, your body will make you rest -- by catching the plague that you managed to avoid for almost 2.5 years.
Alas.
Anyway, I wish I could say I have consumed all the content, but I had consumed some so I will focus on that. Hope you stay cool cause this weekend is going to be HOT. Maybe instead you could stay inside and enjoy some of these recommendations!
- One thing I did was consume the ENTIRETY of the D&D game Misfits and Magic, put on by CollegeHumor. I'm linking the first episode that is on their youtube channel (the rest is on their streaming platform, dropout.tv), but I had such a delightful time with this game. Playing into the "kids go to a magical school" trope and flipping it on its head, it's delightfully heartfelt, fun, and laugh out loud funny. I highly recommend!
- Speaking of CollegeHumor, as I was typing this, I came across their video about "the defender of being basic" and it was surprisingly heartfelt! I felt a little called out but also laughed as I consumed a La Criox (what, they're good), and who needs to feel like they're superior to others over what they like! Unless what you like hurts others, and then you are... bad.
- Finally! A video/podcast episode of my favorite financial advise website, The Financial Diet, chatting with Nick Lewis about budget-friendly secrets of home decor. Did I know who Nick Lewis was? Heck no! Do I like the idea of redecorating my home? Heck yeah! But it was a fascinating discussion about how, since people see into our homes so much, people have become obsessed with redecorating, to the point where they need to keep up with the latest trends. And that mindset is bad for like, fashion, but even worse for like, oh, a $5000 dollar couch. A super interesting discussion!
Like I said - stay cool, enjoy your weekend, and
maybe I'll finally stop testing positive.
Ciao!
