Hi everyone and happy Thursday! This weekend is going to be hot, hot enough that even I gave up my suffering to turn on an air conditioner!
Did you know that the Metropolitan Museum of Art used to not have air conditioning? And people wouldn't go in the summer? And they were like "Golly gee, I wonder why?" Welp.
How we doing? Good? Bad??? I'm enduring, which is a way to say actually enjoying things and feeling guilty as the world burns around us! But there's only so much one's mind can take and so, instead of stressing for 24/7, I've lowered my stress to try to be during work hours! I will only stress on the clock, so to speak!
In other news, despite reading a billion books a year, I am very bad at watching new films! I'm trying to watch 30 new ones this year, and I'm not even at the halfway mark. If y'all have something you watched that you liked recently, throw it my way! Doesn't have to be "new" in terms of release date - I am down for any recommendations!
Anyway, this one is short and sweet - the perfect thing before your Summer Friday! If you don't have one, you technically have a Friday during the summer - so still enjoy that! Stay cool, enjoy some sweet sweet AC, and check out some fun internet links below:
- This is a fascinating article that talks about how showrunners have no friggen clue how their streaming shows are doing. Like they get ~vibes~ about how they are, but when it all boils down, they're almost as in the dark as we are. Which! Is awful???
- I don't know if y'all are caught up on your Broadway Drama, but Lea Michele replacing Beanie Feldstein was all the news earlier this week! Long story short, Beanie was the lead role in Funny Girl, a role Lea Michele very obviously wanted for years. But Beanie's voice wasn't.... great. And so instead of confronting her about it, the producers tried to be sly and welp! Fascinating. A little sad too :/
- You don't even understand - this apartment is SO cute and also in Dumbo? And has a washer/dryer? AND a nine-foot long island??? The woman who decorated it did such an amazing job!
Bye y'all!
