My clothes smell of smoke and yet it is delightful
Hi hello good day I hope you are well I am a little more stressed than normal but all of my vacations are planned for the good year of 2022 and I am.......... *dramatically collapses*
Wow do I hate planning things more than I enjoy taking trips. Thank you everyone who assisted in the multiple conversations I had figuring out the final trip. I'm tired. Maybe you're tired. But in the end, we did it.
Anyway, you'll notice that this came in late because ~someone forgot to finish writing this AND because this week has been hectic! Two of this writer's biggest vacations are coming up and she! Is! Stressed!!! Sliding in under the radar for the EST time zone is what I'm apparently doing!
What I was going to talk about was the continuing yolo aesthetic and continuing to do what you love. And you know what I did tonight??? I sat! Outside! The cold! And had an incredible time with a friend and now all my clothes smell like smoke but it was delightful. Sometimes, especially as the winter begins to creep in (yo - it's getting cold out here!!!), I hold up in the apartment and refuse to leave and don't deviate from my habits. Seeing people? No! But forcing myself out of my comfort zone has been super uncomfortable and also stressing me out! But after the stress and being uncomfortable, it's usually fun! Not like, enjoyable trying to trek an hour into Brooklyn or anything when I could sit at home and be happy. But fun and enjoyable once I'm there.
Apologies, I'm not quite sure what I'm saying. But there's a whole mindset of "once it's 8pm, I am in BED and I don't want to be disturbed!" which, I get, but also the night is young! I want to talk with people until the early morning sun is peaking through and we all have to struggle bus to get up but the evening was so memorable that you'll never forget.
Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe I'm so tired now that I have no idea what I'm talking about. But all I know is that if anyone wants to grab a drink and talk about life for approximately 30 hours, I am down.
Anyway, next week will also probably be a big hectic as I'll be in the middle of trip one, but I'll do my best. I hope you're all doing well and I hope you have wonderful weekends.
