So, as many of you know, the newsletter normally goes out between 11am-1pm, but if y'all had the weeks I had, you would understand why it wasn't even written until 5pm! The day of!
Also now that the newsletter is later, we can all bask in the gloriousness of Twitter. Did something terrible happen to someone today? Who knows, but it's chuckles-o'clock
online! Maybe if you're free, we can pop by the
British Museums and get back stolen items, because they might be a bit busy for the time being!
I kid. Am I? Honestly, I haven't slept properly in three weeks so who even knows what my true personality is anymore!
Oh alright, let me pull some favorites for you to chuckle at because I know if you're online already, you're good, and if you're not, you're confused as to why we're losing our minds.
Hi! Hello. Good evening. Welcome to Thursday. I'm not going to lie, it has been a
rough week or so, but I have endured. I did my first employee review and that was
weird. I got to see a beautiful view of Manhattan from Queens. I even got to go into the Green Room in B&N Union Square! I had no idea they
had a green room, but if you're with a celebrity, they get to chill in the green room and have someone walk them from place to place!
Must be nice.
Anyway, I know I owe many of you messages back, but tbh, bug me later. I'm tired.
Also can you believe that just a few days ago, we had
SpitGate with my true number 1, Chris Pine? Between him
disassociating and being an entire
mood, to him deciding to go all in for
D&D, I'm so glad I stan for the best Chris of the bunch.
Stuff!
- If you haven't seen the 1999 classic The Mummy, what are you WAITING for??? It is truly the world's most perfect film. Everyone is hot (and if they're not, there's someone for SOMEONE). It's quotable. It's silly. It's wonderful. Ardeth Bay is the most beautiful character to exist, and considering both Brendan Fraiser AND Rachel Weiss are in this and yet this man is still hotter? Amazing. Also it's about a mummy who comes back blahblahblah you're not here for the plot but if you were, it's STILL amazing. Whether you've seen it recently or not, you should 100% rewatch. (Also weirdly appropriate for today, with a bunch of British/American explorers attempting to conquer lands that aren't theirs! Let us laugh as they are all mostly *checks notes* murdered!!)
- Speaking of museums, you should go to the Met! They have a ton of new exhibits (new from when I last went... last year? Did I really not hit the Met more than once this summer???), with gorgeous outfits of the ages (western outfits), beautiful kimonos, a water based exhibit, an African based exhibit (which is good because they're renovating the entire Africa section................ so.). But be careful - some of these exhibits have long lines. Just do what I did - accidentally stumble onto the exhibit and then realize you bypassed the line entirely!
- I'm sure this is a fact we all know, but if you didn't, cheetahs need emotional support animals and zoos usually provide dogs and they grow up together and it is so CUTE, here have some photos.
Anyway! I'm going to go take a nap! I already miss summer Fridays! :(
