Oh! Shucks! It's Thursday!
I only realized this because I was sprinting out of the subway this morning as it changed over from Wednesday to today, trying to make sure my Duolingo double points was activated before it was too late! I made it by four minutes so don't worry.
But also ack! It's Thursday! I don't have a single thought in my head except that this week has gone by so much faster than my vacation, which is kind of a nice thought. It's one of the last Summer Fridays and what am I going to DO without my random half day during the summer? Take
vacations normally? Disgusting!
I hope you're able to take some time and enjoy the last weeks of summer. I will admit I
hateeee this season because it's hot and I enjoy tea and there's only so many layers you can peel off before you're peeling layers of skin (I kid but after my last trip and fall, am I??). But I got to enjoy a roof top patio last night with incredible views of Manhattan and it was just so delightful to be outside with a wonderful breeze and good conversation.
May you be able to squeeze everything out of the last few weeks of summer, but if you can't, don't worry - with Climate Change, this weather probably isn't going away any time soon!

- If you're a fan of Nailed It, or her podcast Newcomers, or heck, remember her from way back in the day on Girl Code, Nicole Byer has been killing it for eons. This was a super fascinating interview with her at how she's been killing it by being so incredibly busy. Homegirl works.
- If you're on a social media platform, I'm sure you've heard about Elyse Myers. If you didn't hear about her from the Taco Date story, she's now become parts of ads on Audible while meeting Lance Bass, trending sounds (I've even used one of them!), and so much more. But this was a fascinating interview with her and how people have really latched onto her because she's just so dang relatable, nice, and speaks things aloud that many people feel.
- Listen up, let me tell you a story~! I forgot to mention this last week but I saw Six the musical while I was on vacation! It had wonderful music, and I'm linking the soundtrack on Youtube but I highly recommend. I will admit - I was a person who was FASCINATED (I've that word a lot) by Henry the VIII's wives, more specifically Anne Boylen, and while I didn't love her song before seeing the show, I enjoyed it after seeing how it fit in. I really liked the songs for the first wife, Catherine of Aragon "No Way" and the fifth wife, Catherine Howard "All You Wanna Do," but most of the songs are quite delightful. Check it out, they're a bop!
Have a wonderful weekend and stay cool!! Also I just finished season 2 of
Only Murders in the Building and yooooooooo I need to talk to people about it!!
