Hello! Happy Thursday! I need a nemesis. Luckily for me, the
Atlantic has an interesting article about how to pick the perfect one, with them mentioning Roxane Gay immediately, because she understands the importance of having and being enraged by a nemesis.
"What a weird way to start out" too bad! I don't even care! I need to be spiteful! I need someone to make me enraged to drive me forward, like this
comic shows, or I'm going to go deeper into the D&D hell I'm still trying to claw myself out of!
Anyway, how are you? Do you have nemeses? How did you find them? I found one influencer that I could've been enraged with but instead grew to respect her, which gross! Disgusting!
Hope y'all are doing well, and that you're not caught in this weather!
- Have you noticed that things are worse now? Not just a bird app or even the world, but the products that you buy? Vox Media did a great in depth piece about why this is, and what we can do about it (very little!).
- "Brieana," you ask, "how many apartment tours will you show us?" AS MANY AS I WANT BECAUSE IT'S MY NEWSLETTER. Anyway, another excellent apartment tour. Beautiful Gorgeous. Almost every single thing in this place is secondhand which is truly impressive!
- Have you watched The Last Of Us? Don't spoil me!!! I'm about halfway through. But I'm so excited through my trek through, and many shout outs to my friend Felicia who has been there with me through my live texting as I'm a solid two months late. I've always been interested in this game, but as a BAD gamer, I've been playing on Easy for years and a mix of being afraid of zombies plus being terrible at games like that, I've never been able to experience the story past the first few hours! (Curse you, Clickers!) So I'm having such a delightful time watching (well. delightful to a degree. The last episode I watched was sad) and actually being able to experience the story without being punished for being terrible! So, have you seen it? If so, let me know, except again, don't spoil!!!
Have a good weekend!
