Hello! Happy Thursday. Apologies that this post 5pm time seems to be the norm - funny when I had time to have this written
before Thursday. Hilarious! What
is time!
I've been trying to organize my apartment to be more like the adult I am, which means... sigh. Going through my books and getting rid of them. I don't think I realized how easy it was to have a take shelf at my former employer where I didn't have to consider what I was doing to the planet or my heart when I had to get rid of galleys that I hated. Books don't deserve to go in the trash! But where else do they go?? The void?
If I'm being honest, I had a long and tiring week and I kind of want to just nap and not speak to a single human for 72 weeks but I've been told that I can't take a year long + sabbatical. Shucks. So - onto recs.
- So once again, I have fallen down productivity youtube! I land there when I want to do better and feel better in my life without actually getting anything done. So we have a few options.
- This youtuber talks about how overstimulated we are from being connected and also social media useage. It's an obvious, "no shit sherlock" message, but I liked this video.
- And this youtuber talks about tiny habits that help you to become more productive. I think I found her... oh gosh, back in Jan 2021 or 2022? And some of her habits have really stuck with me. But I like her because she has short videos and good ideas.
- ONTO CHAOS like this video about Funko pops that horrify this youtuber. My god I laughed so hard at this. I think I have... four or five funkos total? And I love them, but I knew people who had SO MANY. What do you even do with that many? What happens when they gain a consciousness and they take over your life??? Terrifying.
- And finally, two Disney comments - first if you missed the news, Disney is suing Desantis in a move many are asking "you don't mess with the mouse so why would you try? And second, lol, did you see the character posters for the new Little Mermaid? Here's a link for Flounder and Sebastian, and to quote the twitter user "look at how they massacred my boy." The Flounder memes have been AMAZING.
Anyway, I'm going to nap until the mountains fall, but I hope you have a good weekend.
