*shuffles awkwardly* Thursday!
Sorry!! I've switched up the days I go into the office so I was legit sitting around enjoying my evening at home after washing my fruits and veggies because tiktok told me to do so, and I saw an article and thought "haha wow! This would be a perfect newsletter article."
WHOOPS.
Anyway hi! How are things? I'm doing okay - despite a bunch of personal hurdles. I spent too much money at Prime day and it's been Christmas in July for the amount of boxes appearing in my home. But it's a little delightful to have something that does the thing I need it to do/a new book I've loved and will now own/a something cute to make me laugh! I don't like spending money so it's rare I do okay!*
*Unless it's my fav store, Trader Joes. MAN I forgot why I appreciate weekly trips. My illness last week made it so I finally hit the grocery store today after not going for two weeks and getting home almost broke me.
Anyway, let's get onto the links so y'all can get to bed. It's late! Or maybe you're reading this Friday morning - jokes on you! I still made it on Thursday.
For the first link, let's do the one that was a reminder for me - the
top 100 Kpop songs of history. I was about to FIGHT if my boys didn't make it, but DBSK slid in at number 25 with their iconic
Mirotic (which was my first song of theirs and, tbh, the beginning of the end for them :/). SHInee's
Lucifer also made it (although I would've d i e d if
Ring Ding Dong had), and I... do not at all agree with number 1! It's not a great song! SNSD (oops spoilers) has better songs -
Genie for one!!
(Oh what, you didn't know Brie was
deep into Kpop? Oh in 2008, that was basically all Brie listened to. Personally offended they completely snubbed my boy Se7en (he has some great ass tunes, including,
Passion) SS501 (which TO BE FAIR, wasn't that huge overall but I loved them, especially the song
Love Ya - WHAT ARE THEY WEARING), and!!! ....Okay G-Dragon kinda deserved it but
Heartbreaker!!! Was!!! HUGE!)
(Actually the more I think about it, this list is not good!!! But message me and we can fight about it more there.)
Whew, brie went down a k-pop rabbit hole. Anyway, since you're up for
moving, how about the next link!
Wanna do a short half hour workout that will knock your socks off? Idk if this will do it but whew! This is a half hour 5000 step workout that is definitely doable but whew boy!!! It'll get you (brie typed this after just finishing it so she might be biased). Also I got maybe 3500 steps in? Idk what I did wrong but I believe in you.
Have you been watching movies lately and you're like "hm, that was
fine?" You're not alone. This is an interesting
video about the passability of movies. Basically... movies are fine. Very few movies are doing much more than being ~fine~ because fine works and fine gets butts into seats. Which is sad. But whatever.
Anyway, I hope you have a lovely weekend. Although I'm happy, I feel like there's the looming dread that's been hanging over me that mainly revolves around work (being shitty), the world (being shitty) and more. And it's
hard to try to continue to stay positive amongst layoffs and strikes and ceos hoping people starve instead of paying them.
It's really hard.
So watch some kpop videos and distract yourself for now? If even a few minutes. :)
Have a good weekend - bye!
