Happy Thursday! Idk what it is about this week/month/season/year but people have stayed getting on my last nerve.
I had someone write me a long-winded email that they were "disappointed in me and my work" because they didn't review before posting an image, and when the image had a different time then they wanted (which had changed and they had told no one) it was my fault for not being a mind reader! Also I actually made the trek into my office yesterday and the bathrooms flooded!!!!! I am CURSED.
That rant was inspired by someone who couldn't be bothered to check their email and sent me the "question in the subject line" bullshit like I was their assistant. Mmmmmm it's a Thursday but I will FIGHT.
Anyway! I hope y'all are doing better than me. I know the Met Gala was last Monday but tbh they were celebrating a shitty man, so I actually didn't really consume any of the outfits though the ones that came across my feed were pretty. The WGA is on strike because, surprise surprise, corporations are greedy and somehow have been pretending like the entire television landscape hasn't changed in the last 15 years and don't want to pay writers. Comedian Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) pretty succinctly explains why he's out and how mad he is about everything.
Idk! The weather is so weird that I can't actually pull out my summer clothes, and everything feels wrong at the moment. I will say, I went to a book launch where I a) got complimented on everything from dress to my makeup so many times that it was getting a little unnerving (who paid all these actors to lie to me), and b) the store it was set in was for like a size 2 body and below and I made the mistake of trying to sit in a chair and almost broke it. SO! HUH.
Also one day when the laziness has not overtaken me, I will show you photos of my pottery because it is DAMN good, if I do say so myself.
Anyway, I have nothing. Oh! It's May the 4th. Lol. Happy May the fourth y'all.

- I finished three books recently! Below are some quick thoughts but feel free to nudge for more inquiries on them
- Swipe Up for More! by Stephanie Mcneal - Interesting book about the life of influencers. I wish it had gone a little more into a current influencer because of how drastically the landscape has changed since the early 00's, but it was still an interesting read.
- Witchmark by C.L. Polk - Good! Wish it had expanded upon the ending more because it felt like 75% atmosphere and 25% OH GOD WE GOTTA RUSH THE PLOT
- Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan - WHEW I read this in two days on audio (ie I was staring at the ceiling as it played). I really liked this! Interesting look at the celebrity trope when the other partner is trying to be a single parent and keeping their kids at the forefront. Also the "misunderstanding" was frustrating as hell but like totally a real thing that could happen lmao. Thank you Felicia for the rec!
- So everyone here knows I LOVE Shrimp Dumplings. We go to Nom Wah Tea parlor and BUDDY, that's all I'm getting. Well, I'm here to tell you that I found a grocery store that sells basically the exact dumplings for a fraction of the cost. Shrimp Dumplings is going to become my new personality. What is the grocery store you ask? What is the brand?? Well, it's simple! It's -- *gets dragged off and throw into the void*
