Hello humans and happy Thursday. I'm on the first vacation I've taken this year (yes it's August. No, we will not talk about it), and I don't have a single thought in my head except "Wow, maybe I shouldn't have walked nine miles in DC humidity!" But I had a lovely time, ate some good food, and got to hold a baby! Babies are squishy and cute.
Anyway, as I said, there are no thoughts, but also so many thoughts that I will not be examining because of ~vacation~! I have two more books to finish before the week is up and tbh, all I want to do is rest.
Onto some links!
- My future husband Karl Urban (he will find out about this one day!) was interviewed by GQ about a few of his past roles. Now I know every one of you is rushing off to watch this, but as a note, homeboy was Eomer in The Lord of the Rings, Bones in Star Trek, as well as in Xena, Dredd, and Thor: Ragnarok. Ten-to-one, you've seen him before. If not, that means you haven't seen The Lord of the Rings and that means you are the worst, thank you.
- Here's youtube video about why certain songs are so catchy - this one focuses on Surface Pressure from Encanto and boy oh boy, Mr Lin-Manuel Miranda really did a ton of work on the lyrics and the music. He is quite good at his craft if I do say so.
- Someone over at Architectural Digest breaks down the different details within the Disney Castles! It's a fascinating little watch and I learned a lot. Will I ever use this information again in my life? Absolutely not!
Anyway, hope you all have lovely weekends and stay cool. Ciao!
