No Trouble at All authors announced | StokerCon deals | Book recommendation

Take a look at the beautiful table of contents for No Trouble at All, an anthology of polite horrors we’re publishing in June! My co-editor Alexis DuBon and I are so excited to share these stories with you. The anthology includes a mix of authors whose work we’ve read before and loved and authors who are brand new to us. Like Cursed Morsels anthologies before this one, expect weird, anti-capitalist, socially engaged horror—this time with a polite twist!

You can pre-order the book directly from the Cursed Morsels store here.

If you’re headed to StokerCon this year, stop by the Cursed Morsels table! I’ll be selling books at a low price (can’t take all of these back with me on the plane, can I?) and I’m more than happy to sign copies.

I’d also love to connect with folks interested in queer, weird, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist horror. If that’s you, swing by—let’s chat!

My book recommendation for this newsletter is the incredible work of nonfiction Islands of Abandonment: Nature Rebounding in the Post-Human Landscape by Cal Flyn. If you’re interested in ecology, social collapse, and the influence humans (and our absence) have on biodiversity, pick this one up. Flyn’s prose is jaw-droppingly beautiful, too, with some of the most gorgeous, unusual descriptions of nature I’ve read in ages. Highly recommended!
