The Curious Corner of the Internet #99

The Curious Corners #99

Well, hello there ✌️. It’s number 99, with 💯 around the corner. Still alive and kicking! It’s been quite a ride with ups and downs, but it’s you (the reader) who keeps us motivated to collecting interesting things from around the web.

I still haven’t got an idea on what to do with the 100th edition, I might make another digital summary into a small ebook. Ah well, we’ll see to it when we get there! Without further ado, here are 20 wonderful things for you to enjoy! 🎉

  • Lemons are invented.
  • A vernier acuity clock.
  • A city made by octopus (octopi?)
  • The jaws of a snail.
  • Niche museums.
  • The maintenance race.
  • Clear ice with directional freezing.
  • Saving data makes a USB drive lighter.
  • The mansion underneath the Bay Bridge.
  • Saving the Salyut 7 space station.

Stanford Torus Space Station

  • Snake boat racing.
  • A chapel in the sky.
  • Read something wonderful.
  • Can you fry food in space?
  • An ancient sawmill.
  • Shapes in a brass door.
