The Curious Corner of the Internet #92
The Curious Corners #92
Well hello there! You might have expected this email a bit sooner (I normally send it out at the start of the month). I however took an unexpected souvenir with me from my travels.
💩 Campylobacter isn’t really friendly to your guts and it took me a while to somewhat recover. I’m aiming to return to the regular schedule in December.
Alright, that’s the housekeeping, on to the regular programming! Here’s this months bunch of curious things: 👀
- A digesting duck.
- Doing laundry at the end of the world.
- Finland’s unnamed islands.
- Poisonous books.
- The museum of failure.
- A weird little timezone in Australia.
- The curse of the blue diamond.
- How truffles travelled the world.
- The putter.
- The hummingbird clock.
- Nibbles, or world eaters.
- Teeth that stop a tank.
- A sneaker wearing goose. (Thanks Fons!)
- Vertical flutes.
- Writing for reading back and forth.
- The scientific study of waves.
- Tea atop of Mount Fuji.
- The lowest string instrument.
- Helicopters sometimes have halo’s.
- Baking a bread in the car.
- Llandegley International airport dissappears.
That’s it, thanks for reading! Let us know by email if you have any suggestions for the Curious Corner!
