Closing Thoughts
On Friday afternoon, I had my second meeting with a financial institution. This time it was with Ramsey Hamdi, the CEO of Triad Business Bank. They’re a new bank starting up in the Triad that hopes to “launch”.
It was a very different conversation with him. As a bank focused on serving businesses with $1MM+ in revenue. When they were making the decisions on financial platforms to use, the aim was to find an all-in “plug and play” solution. The two they looked at were Fiserv and Jack Henry (note: these two companies have roughly 80% of the financial software market for banks and credit unions). They also hired a consultancy to implement the solution (they went with Jack Henry).
His advice was to get on Fiserv’s and Jack Henry’s radar since they invest a couple hundred million each year in acquisitions. He recommended going to their events and mentioned connecting with some of the “implementation” companies.
He did perk up at the idea of this being positioned and working in a treasury management space and made an introduction for me to speak with their Treasury Manager.
I’m encouraged that the problems CrewPay solves are not lost on the folks I’m speaking to at these banks. I look forward to our meeting in a few weeks with folks in the investment banking industry.
Have a great week.
Ever,
David
