July 2026

I've been trying to rebuild my website for… I don't even know. It's been at least 18 months!

I get about 80% done and decide I hate it. I no longer like the design, or I feel like the architecture is a mess. So, I just rip it all up and start over. I really annoy myself when I do this, because I know I need to fail fast and iterate etc.

Looking back over my blog posts, almost a decade ago, I wrote what can Baloo teach us about design?. Perhaps I should have re-read this first, re-used a template, and saved myself 18 months worth of anguish!

Anyway, the entire point of me telling you this, is that doing a newsletter has been on my priority list for a really long time! However, it's only now I've finally deployed a new design that I've actually been able to build in the capability to do it.

So, "Hello world!" And, welcome to issue #1!
