it’s march 10th, oops! i’m writing you from bed because i am exhausted due to some serious spoon miscalculations in the past month (math never was my strong suit). i’ve course-corrected myself out of burnout territory twice recently but i’m having trouble internalizing the memo that i maybe have too much on my plate. the rest of this newsletter will surely explain that!

i made a new sticker last month, it is blue and sparkly and it says, “sleepy.” because i am sleepy all the time, except for when it’s time to go the fuck to sleep >:)

lancaster zine fest: i’m gearing up for lancaster zine fest on april 6th! i’ll also be showing some flyers from back in the day at levengoods, that show opens april 5th!

i started a whole dang organization in february, because i got impatient that no one else was doing it (this is the story of me having too many projects lmao). thanks to a few very generous donations to a gofundme (which is still open ;)), i was able to buy a smart air blast mini mkII— an Absolute Unit that cleans 3,075 sq. ft of air every 30 minutes. it is available to borrow RIGHT NOW for events in the olympia area! it’s fucking heavy, so if you’re a crumpled up lil husk like me, bring yr strong friends to help with transport. check out cleanairoly.org for more info!

our benefit show at new moon was packed and totally lovely! it was really heartening to see a masked gig so well-attended. i’m consistently surprised by the lack of resistance to masked events that i organize! we raised a decent chunk of change and we’re gonna start the process of registering as a nonprofit at our next meeting :) we have lots of cool merch coming soon and a couple shows coming up! secondhomegigs.org

✷ oly punk rock flea market ✷

we have a date and we have secured a space! our next market will be sunday, may 25th at friendship hall. it’s much smaller than the armory so we’ll be curating this time. applications open on march 25th.

spring cleaning has begun! it’s the time of year when i go through the hundreds of listings on dodiy.org and check in with everyone to make sure the info is still current. i have a handful of helpers this time which rules! now is also a good time to submit your diy music venue or organizer info to the site :)

maybe my busiest february ever? april will also be wild, and my newsletter may be delayed. i’m flying solo to PA for the first week of april. later that month, kyle and i will be taking our annual trip to the tulip festival and exploring bellingham for the first time. i’ll be spending march conserving my limited energy!
