i'm the unlucky owner of a uterus, and i'm feeling an awful lot of ways about that! the city that i live in is on track to declaring itself an abortion sanctuary city, and that is Very Good. but the supreme court just set a course to needlessly kill so, so many people. we gotta take care of ourselves and each other. shout your abortion has a great list of resources, and we could all do to familiarize ourselves with them. i'm working on some new fundraising pin designs, with proceeds going to abortion funds. i don't know when yet, but they'll be done soon! keep an eye on my website.

✷ v a c a t i o n ✷

i will be out of town july 5th-8th for a much needed vacation after an absolutely bonkers june!! etsy will be on vacation (please don't buy from there anyway!) and orders placed on my website between the 4th & 8th of july won't ship til after the 11th. kyle and i are taking a trip down the oregon coast. i seriously can't wait to take a proper vacation! this june has been an extremely busy month for craft or diy and for me in general. if the pace stays this wild, i might need to enlist some helpers. it's weird being at a place where it's getting to be too much work for just me, but i also still can't really afford to pay someone to help. i sure love capitalism! jk! i need to sit on a beach and do nothing for a minute! 

✷ zine news / patreon ✷

i'm still putting the finishing touches on wanderer 8 before i test print it, but in the meantime i've finished two mini zines! one is directions on how to make a mini zine, the other is the affirmations zine i mentioned in my last letter. i feel relieved i've finally made some zines this year. mini zines will get mailed out to $5 and up patrons either right before i leave for vacation, or shortly after i get back! last call to update your addresses for me, this is not a drill <3 the zines will be available on my website after patron copies go out.

in other zine news, someone tried to load the zine library and it's stand into their trunk this week. luckily i noticed and was able to rush out and stop them, but it gave me quite a fright! they went to take the stand, read the sign on it, decided to leave it and take the library cabinet instead. when i told them both things weren't up for grabs, they said, "well what's free then?" i said, "the zines inside the library." and they said, "what's a zine?"

long story short, i'm looking for someone local who can build a more permanent stand for me. my ideal library would be able to store the zines front-facing (basically a larger scale version of my current cabinet). i'll pay for materials. lemme know if you or someone you know might be interested! my plan b is to leave notes asking this in other little free libraries about town.

this month i made the tough decision to stop offering international shipping for buttons. there's more info about that at the faq page. i recently did a website overhaul, and i'm excited about how it turned out! i'm also now offering my trans and queer joy is revolutionary pins in a hot pink color way in the shop. there are new buttons in the works all the time (and i'm always open to suggestions)!

i've been coding a webpage for the oly punk rock flea market from scratch as a fun challenge to myself! i kind of quit learning web design stuff after 2007, so i had a bit to catch up on. i figured out how to make it resize to be viewed on phones, which was a huge triumph! it's not hosted anywhere yet, but i hope to have it out there in the wild before the next market. there's still a mailing list here for now! we should be officially announcing the next date soon (but those with keen observational skills should already know when it's going to be, we just haven't officially reserved the space yet!).

✷ i saw jeff rosenstock & chris farren at the vera project in seattle - the vera project is one of the coolest venues i've ever been to (all ages, all the time!) and seeing jeff was so fucking cathartic
✷ it took until the end of june but the weather is finally warm here!!
✷ VACATION
✷ i get to see my other partner after unexpectedly not seeing him for a few weeks due to my nesting partner testing positive for covid (they're okay now and i didn't get it!) and also! my nesting partner will be meeting my other partner's partner and meta for the first time this weekend! kitchen table polyam level up!
✷ i wrote a set list for the gig in august and learned how to play a big thief song
✷ i finally watched our flag means death and I HAVE SO MANY BIG GAY FEELINGS
✷ it is officially strawberry season (and honeysuckle season, two of my favorite things)
✷ my friend zane paid a visit and we went to the quarry, i love friends and quarry dips!
