At Cosmic, we believe your data belongs to you. We build the tools of calculation, you bring the art, insight, and understanding. We think it’s only fair that you should have full control of your data.

Here’s how we treat your data, and how we want you to think about it:

1. We don’t hoard your data to lock you in
Many services treat your data like something they own that keeps you "stuck" with them. That’s not our style. If you ever decide to leave, you should be able to take everything with you. We have worked diligently in our Preview Release for a great data export and import.

2. Minimal data collection with a clear purpose
We collect only what we need to give you a meaningful astrology experience: your basic profile, your moments, your preferences. We don’t collect extra stuff just because. We respect your privacy and would never sell your data, even anonymously.

3. Strong protection
We may not be hyper-large yet, but we’re serious. We use standard industry practices (encryption, secure servers, access controls) so that when you hand us something personal (and astrology tends to be deeply personal), you’re not also handing over something fragile. If it matters to you, it matters to us.

4. Transparent choices
You should know where your data lives, how long it lives, and how you can get it or remove it. We have built in mechanisms so you can export your data, delete it, or ask us questions about what we are storing. If you want to ever stop using us and take your data away, it's as simple as exporting then deleting the app from your computer.

5. Your rights come first
Want your data back, want it wiped, want to change things? Just ask. We’ll make it easy. We’re not going to hide behind some crazy policy to make it hard. You have a concern? You can always write us. feedback@cosmic.plumbing.

The bottom line is that you’re in control and we’re here to build amazing astrology software for you, not to hold you captive.
