Lindower-Wolitzer DNS Experiential Learning Symposium | May 2025

In May we were pleased to present the inaugural Lindower-Wolitzer DNS Experiential Learning Symposium - including talks by our first cohort of CHE Public Health and Nutrition Ambassadors - Olivia Kornstein (‘26), Mia Marcotte (‘26) and Esha Shakthy (‘25). These Undergraduate Ambassadors presented on work done in collaboration with the World Health Organization to inform upcoming guidelines on the management of childhood obesity, infant feeding and methods to diagnose anemia. We are incredibly proud of of Olivia, Mia and Esha and the exceptional contributions they made as undergraduate research assistants with the PIN program.

In Memoriam

This year our community lost Dr. Gretel Pelto, a pioneer in implementation science, mentor, and friend. Read the In Memoriam from the Micronutrient Forum and more about Gretel and her life’s work.

Notable News from 2025

In 2024-2025 the College of Human Ecology, home to PIN and the Division of Nutritional Sciences, celebrated its Centennial. Explore the timeline of the College’s inspiring 100 year history!

In March, in recognition of World Obesity Day, PIN hosted a seminar series in partnership with the World Health Organization Collaborating Center at the Cornell Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health.

In August, PIN alumni and faculty participated in the International Congress of Nutrition IUNS-ICN2025 in Paris, France.
