PIN Director Dr. Saurabh Mehta delivered the keynote address at the Nourishing South Asia | Reducing Anaemia in Adolescent Girls and Women Conference held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in July. The conference brought together national leaders, policymakers, researchers, health experts, and development leaders to shape a shared regional framework and country action plans to address the growing burden of anaemia among women in the region. Dr. Mehta’s talk highlighted the urgent gaps and opportunities in anemia prevention, diagnostics, and treatment. Dr. Julia Finkelstein led a technical session on the biology and underlying drivers of anemia and Dr. Antra Ganguly presented the team’s AnemiaPhone technology at the conference marketplace.

2025 Summer Institute trainees, faculty and mentors, Ithaca, NY
The 10th Annual WHO/Cochrane/Cornell Joan Klein Jacobs Center for Precision Nutrition and Health Summer Institute for Systematic Reviews in Nutrition for Global Policy Making, was hosted in Ithaca, NY June 16th - 20th. Over 30 trainees, faculty and mentors from around the globe participated in this transformative week of hands on teaching, learning and networking.

The International Congress of Nutrition in Paris this August was a wonderful success, bringing together Cornell PIN trainees, faculty, and alumni who presented their work and reunited at a special PIN gathering. Sessions with PIN faculty included the Symposium Artificial Intelligence for Precision Nutrition - Current Status and Future Directions with Examples from the Nutrition for Precision Health Study and a Symposium in collaboration with World Health Organization colleagues, Innovations in Precision Nutrition and Health - Last Mile Examples. Dr. Samantha Huey gave a talk on Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models to Make Nutrition Information More Accessible.
