it's bandcamp friday! :-)
Oh hi there,
It's Bandcamp Friday! Throw your confetti in the air and stuff! On the first Friday of the month, Bandcamp waives their revenue share so everything but processing fees goes straight to the artists. Great day to support your indie faves. Here's a link to my Bandcamp page, in case I am one of your indie faves!
This is my first Bandcamp Friday with merch--I have Small Talk CDs, T-Shirts designed by my friend Ezra Awdey, stickers, and zines. The T-Shirts are screen-printed on Comfort Colors shirts which are, you guessed it from the name, super comfy. :-)
Here are some of my own indie faves to support on Bandcamp Friday:
Ellie Kashinn - An enchanting folky Midwestern songwriter and also a wonderful friend. She sang the background vocals on my song Overboard! Her song "The Walk Home" is one of my all-time favorites
https://elliekashinn.bandcamp.com/Pacing - Force of chaos, anti-folk harbinger, ex-hater/current enjoyer of snakes. Extremely talented absolute weirdo. Check out her recent release "Live / Laugh / Love" (yes I'm serious) or her even more recent "LLL Evil Superpack" (somehow I'm still serious)
https://pacingmusic.bandcamp.com/Jeremy M - Alt pop songwriter of ur dreams, connoisseur of the color yellow. You can pre-order his upcoming EP "is it too late." The two released singles off it are so so good, I'm particularly fond of "boys don't cry"
https://jeremym.bandcamp.com/album/is-it-too-lateTarquin Alexandra - The most beautifully orchestrated and contemplative satire you've ever heard. Tarquin and I are in the habit of passing the same $5 back and forth on Bandcamp Fridays

I have so many more talented friends with amazing music on Bandcamp but I'm afraid if I include any more links, your emails will banish me into deep dark spam land and this will never see the light of day. Oh yeah, on that note, I've been thinking about moving away from this ~offical~ newsletter platform and just emailing you from my gmail. You'd have to email me back to ask to unsubscribe if I did that but it'd make them much more likely to not go straight to the Promotions tab. If you hate this idea, respond to this email with "boooooo throwing tomatoes" or something to that effect.
Okay that's all xoxo,
Copeland James
