Next month I am going on TOUR! I remember the exact moment I decided that I wanted to be a touring musician. I went to a Tessa Violet/dodie concert in Ohio (about 6 hours from home, thank you parents) to celebrate my 17th birthday. Tessa and dodie told such personable, vulnerable anecdotes between the songs, and it was so fun, and I thought "hold on... if I went on tour, I would have captive audiences of strangers invested in my hot goss." Just kidding, I probably thought of it as my very meaningful artistic visions. Now I think of it as the hot goss.

Anyways, I am going on tour with (drumroll) the amazing Katie McTigue aka Pacing! Katie and I played two shows together in Bloomington last October and since then we've been joking about planning a "Coping World Tour." Get it, Copeland + Pacing = Coping? Well, now we (somehow) have a real tour planned! If there's one thing Katie and I are gonna do, it's commit to the bit, so we are calling it the Coping World Tour even though it's just the Midwest->Northeast US. Surely this won't make anyone confused or annoyed! Huge thank you to Katie's label Totally Real Records for swooping in with real connections when we were coasting on vibes and audacity.

We'll be playing with some amazing bands at each show. Check out the lineup for Burning Couch here! (They left out Pacing, I promise Pacing will be there). We'll be joined by Lavender Point and Zoe Brown in Chicago, Cowboy Car and Celine Darr in Bowling Green, Frame and Mantle and the Dewey Decibel System in Pittsburgh, and Vonnie Whatever and Mega Infinity in Brooklyn. These folks are so talented and we could not have planned this without all of them.
