Attack of the Cybermen is the first story of the 1985 series of Doctor Who, and the first story I can be certain I saw every episode of on first transmission. It’s also the last Doctor Who season opener made with the series seemingly blessed with a secure future until 2006. That’s twenty one years later and the age of the series when Attack itself was shown.
