The next 3 CRpTAC shows!

As the CONNOR RATLIFF presents THE ACTING CLASS YouTube channel slowly but surely inches its way closer to 1000 subscribers, the next 3 shows are all on sale, in 3 different cities.
This show is going to grow and change as it develops, but my hope/plan is to be able to build a list of places I can bring it to once a year and then keep doing that for the rest of my career. Right now, that list of places is up to 4 (NYC/L.A./SF/Philly) but I have plans to add Chicago, London, Nashville, Austin, Toronto and more. I just need to keep building its audience.
APRIL 4 at DYNASTY TYPEWRITER
Dynasty has been so supportive of this show since I did one there back in February. They get it, and I’m excited to already be bringing it back there.

APRIL 30 at UCBNY

I have been doing this show monthly since UCBNY reopened last spring at its new 14th St location. When I’ve done it in a weekend slot, it sells out, as most UCB weekend shows do. More often, I do the show in the middle of the week, and I have recently been struggling to fill the place. I think that will change soon, but right now it's a mix of not enough ppl being aware of it + ppl thinking “it's monthly, I’ll see it eventually.” I think the new UCB is still finding its audience, and it's just a matter of time.
Livestream tickets are a big help for these, especially when I’m struggling to sell out in-person.

MAY 10 in Philadelphia

I’ve done several different shows at CSz in Philadelphia, and I’m excited to be bringing CRpTAC there in May. It's a great venue with enthusiastic audiences, and I’ll be doing a regular improv workshop there earlier in the afternoon.
[There is something slightly confusing about touring a show that pretends to be an acting class while also bringing along a real improv workshop that isn’t a show, but we live in confusing times.]
There are limited slots in the 2pm workshop, so if you’re interested, I would jump on those before it sells out.
This show won’t have a livestream but I’m going to try and film it so some version of it can eventually live on the YouTube channel.

A GENERAL THANKS
Thanks for subscribing to these emails and taking an interest in what I’m doing. Show business is fickle, and the entertainment industry is difficult, so it means a lot to me to have a small handful of people who are interested in what I’m offering. One thing that has become increasingly clear is that I need to be able to build an audience that likes what I do and will occasionally buy a ticket to a show or a workshop or a livestream, since I can easily go a whole year without booking meaningful work in film & TV.
CRpTAC is my bid to create something that I have total control over, that people can enjoy, and enjoy supporting. I’ve grown up always getting tremendous satisfaction supporting the things I like, in movies, TV shows, plays, records, books and comics. I have always liked being a fan of things, and essentially voting with my dollars to say “I like that this thing exists. I’m buying it both because I want it and I want to encourage more of it.”
I hope that this show I’m doing can be like that for enough people out there that I can keep doing it for the next couple of decades. Eventually, I hope the number of people subscribing to the YouTube channel can make it so I can go to most places in America and book a show there, because I think it's a fun show in a dark time, and I want to be doing something positive.
Anyway, all that just to say “thank you"! I appreciate your support.
Be smart, stay safe.
connor!
