NYC & L.A. shows in September!
Ok, first of all: I’m in a KitKat commercial. It's Halloween-themed, so keep an eye out for it over the next month-and-a-half or so.
THURSDAY in NYC: CRpTAC at UCBNY
I’ll be honest -- as of right now, this Thursday’s show has sold close to ZERO tickets.
More precisely: the show has sold as many tickets as there were members of The Beatles, but not if you count people like George Martin or Billy Preston as any kind of “fifth Beatle.”
I hope that changes by Thursday! It would be so great to be able to keep doing this show every month in NYC.
Also: there is a PROMO CODE that saves you $5 off the ticket price!
PROMO CODE: CRPTACsept
Friday: The Stepfathers at UCBNY
The longest-running improv team at UCBNY continues its run once a month (3rd Fridays at 7pm), continuing to perform some of the best improv shows that have ever been done. I was away for last month's show and I am excited to be back for this month's, just before I leave town to head west, to California!
PROMO CODE: STEPFATHERSsept
American Cinematheque asked Griffin Newman and I to host a screening so we have curated a double bill that we think has never been attempted: Akira Kurosawa's Star Wars-inspiring The Hidden Fortress + Mel Brooks' Star Wars-inspired Spaceballs.
Two of the 20th century's greatest filmmakers whose works are not usually paired, for one night only at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, with introductory remarks by me & Griffin!
CRpTAC makes its debut at The Elysian! I did GEORGE-prov here a few years ago, a show that laid the groundwork for CRpTAC, and my recollection is that it went well. I love The Elysian and am so excited to be doing this show there!
