GLTS in NYC, Pittsburgh & L.A.!
The George Lucas Talk Show used to be a monthly midnight show in Manhattan's East Village…

Later, it became a weekly pandemic fundraising twitchstream, where every episode was at least one minute longer than Martin Scorsese's The Irishman…
Eventually, it evolved into what 21st century Cookie Monster might call “a sometime show.” We do it every now and then, in different places.
This is largely down to my own personal exhaustion! It is also, at this point, more fun to do the show on an erratic schedule and sometimes take long breaks in between shows.
The next 4 GLTS events will be as follows:
May 4th: NYC, Star Wars Day at The Bell House
May 8th: Pittsburgh, back-to-back shows at Bottlerocket
June 11th: The George Lucas Talk Show Improv Show, a headliner event as part of the Del Close Marathon
September 26: Los Angeles, at Dynasty Typewriter, celebrating that week's long-awaited opening of the Lucas Museum Of Narrative Art!
Let's go through each of these shows, one-by-one, shall we?
MAY 4th at The Bell House
Our first Star Wars Day GLTS since 2023!
A killer line-up featuring Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall, A Bugs Life, NewsRadio), Chloe Radcliffe (The Tonight Show, Command Z, Is This Thing On?) and Jorma Taccone (The Lonely Island, MacGruber, Popstar, Over Your Dead Body)!
Limited tickets available! Grab em before they’re gone!
May 8th in Pittsburgh

The early show in Pittsburgh sold out quickly, so we added a late show that we are calling THE GEORGE LUCAS PITT SHOW.
Instead of a normal GLTS, or a GLTS After Dark, this one is going to be a full-on hybrid of GLTS and Emmy's Best Drama, THE PITT.
People have been asking if this show is going to be different from a regular GLTS show, and my answer is an emphatic YES.
For approximately 60+ minutes -- performed in REAL TIME -- The George Lucas Talk Show will be transformed into a high-stakes emergency room/talk show where doctors attempt to save lives while struggling with their own personal demons, like how George is about to open a museum in a few months, or how Watto used to own slaves on Tatooine. Dr. George and Nurse Watto will do their best to practice medicine while also still hosting a late night talk show. “Guests" will either be medical professionals or patients -- or sometimes both -- while medical student Patrick will deal with the very full waiting room (ie the audience!)
Get your tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime show while you still can!
JUNE 11: THE GEORGE LUCAS TALK SHOW IMPROV SHOW at The Del Close Marathon

It has been a long time since The Del Close Marathon has happened in NYC, and George and Watto are taking this opportunity to do an improv show, with special guests TBA!
In an era where traditional late night talk shows are rapidly dying off, George and Watto are eager to learn if they have a future in what Vanity Fair called “the new late night… lo-fi and unpredictable.” Can they use improv to reinvent the form and get a show on DROPOUT or something?
This show will happen at 10pm on Thursday, June 11th, at UCBNY. Festival + Headliner badges are now on sale at UCBComedy.com!
SEPTEMBER 26 at Dynasty Typewriter

We have been talking about The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art for well over a decade on GLTS, and now it is finally going to be a real place that ppl can visit and look at Normie Rockwells and Naboo concept art and Krazy Kat originals.
The museum opens on Tuesday and we are doing back-to-back shows on Saturday night, which gives all of Los Angeles a chance to visit the museum first, or they can just come to our show and hear all about it!
I would recommend buying your tickets sooner rather than later, as I fully expect these 2 shows to sell our early, long before any guests are announced!

Will that be ALL for GLTS 2026? I mean, it is possible that there will be a NY Comic-Con panel, and maybe another show or two, but you never know! The opening of the Lucas Museum marks the end of an era, and possibly the beginning of a new one, so all we can do is hope that there is more fun still to come!
Oh, wait, here's a message from “Retired Filmmaker George Lucas”!
“Hi, everyone. Please visit LucasMuseum.com for all your Narrative Art museum needs. Also, a brand new 4K blu-ray of the first 6 Star Wars movies just came out. Thanks.”
Ok, that's all for now!
connor!
