So November came and went, huh?
November wrapped up with my application for Invited Expert to the W3C granted, which means I can resume working in the task forces and groups and fill out surveys and a bunch of other group-related things.
My talks went great, now that my conference speaking year is over I am relaxing although I did do an impromptu talk atConnect.Tech on Making a Strong Case For Accessibility. It went well for my first live talk ever, there weren’t a lot of people there, but it gave me the confidence to speak to larger crowds hopefully in the future. Thanks to Pratik and Vincent for the opportunity to do that.
December is a much lighter workload. Although I did write a blog post about the fourth quarter of 2021, I’m in the middle of writing an article for an accessibility website, working at the new job, and just passed my 60-day mark, taking weekends to break from tech/coding, learning a little bit of React/Javascript stuff, and wrapping up season one of the podcast.
The podcast’s final two episodes that are interview episodes have been recorded, one of those episodes was split into two parts because we ran long, so the first half of my chat with Joe Natoli is out on audio and on the YouTube channel. The last interview will be released hopefully by next week.
After that, I’m going to be recording an end-of-season wrap-up and that will be it for 2021 as far as the podcast goes.
The last thing which I want to say is with everything going on and no end in sight for this pandemic, please stay safe. Wear a mask, be careful and cautious, and we can get through this together.
That’s all for now. I may send another newsletter out before the new year, but until then, keep making awesome things.
