WHEW! Thank gawd that 2020/1 January is over. Are we out of the weeds now? THere’s still a lot to be done, but is the worst behind us? Let’s hope it is and get crackin’ on fixing it all.

When to use alt for images and when to use figcaption for images?
There is a time and a place to use different aspects of HTML tags for accessibility’s sake. This article which I linked to by Elaina Natario explains succinctly when looking for the best solution to relay information about an image to a user.
The article dives into the history of each and perfect examples of how, when, and where to use either tag and why, and how alt tags and figcaption can live in perfect harmony! Give it a read!
Recipe of the Month 🦞
Baked Maine Lobster Pie - 🥧
Pie? Lobster?! Yes. And oh lawdie! It is goooooooooood!
Ingredients
- Maine lobsters, 2 (1.5 pound) cooked
- Butter, 2 tbsp.
- Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice, 1 tbsp.
- Butter, 3 tbsp.
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Cream, thin, 3/4 cup
- Egg yolks, 2
- Pie Topping
- Cracker meal, 1/4 cup
- Paprika, 1/4 tsp.
- Potato chips, finely crushed, 1 tbsp.
- Parmesan cheese, 1 1/2 tsp.
- Butter, melted, 2 tbsp.
Directions
Melt 2 tablespoons butter, add sherry and boil 1 minute. Add Maine lobster and let stand.
Melt 3 tablespoons butter; add flour. Stir 1 minute until bubbles. Remove from heat.
Slowly stir in cream and wine, drained from Maine lobster. Return to heat until smooth and thick. Remove from heat.
Beat egg yolks very well. Stir into yolk 4 tablespoons sauce, 1 tablespoon at a time. Add to sauce. Mix well.
Heat over hot water in top of double boiler for about 3 minutes. Do not let water boil or sauce may curdle. Remove from heat.
Add Maine lobster. Turn into a small deep dish pie plate. Sprinkle with pie topping.
Bake slow in 300 degree oven for 10 minutes.
