# Hello Friend!
## How are you?
The move is done! I am in Phoenix, AZ! Now to get the rest of my belongings that was shipped before I left Maine! I am going to miss those lobster rolls and days of sitting out on the rocks on the ocean shore.
Two surgeries and a move and I am relaxing and working and just resting before I do anything after the holiday weekend here in the US. I'm going to make this a quick one so let's get into it!

🔊 Twitch. I was thinking this month, but that doesn't seem to be like it is going to happen. I need to recover from my last surgery before I go back to streaming.
🗣 August had me on [Dev Roulette with host Stephanie Eckles](https://youtu.be/eTJKI1q_k5w)! I was honored to be asked to join Steph and a mystery guest, which turned out to be one of my favorite people in the accessibility space, [Carie Fisher](https://twitter.com/cariefisher)!

I have released podcast episode nine with Miriam Suzanne! We talked about CSS and Sass and some other web stuff and I had (as always) a fantastic conversation with Miriam! I think that you'll love the episode if you love CSS and want to know what's coming up and what Miriam and others are doing in the CSS Working Group.
You can watch the episodes here:

or you can listen to the audio version on your podcast platform of choice.
Episode ten will be coming out soon!

Spicy Link of the Month 🌶
[Maine Lobster Now](https://mainelobsternow.com)
> Sustainable Seafood Delivered to your door. Experience Maine together with a delivery of fresh seafood
It's not a huge secret that when I was traveling away from Maine when Maine was called home, I used Maine Lobster Now as my way of having a little piece of home delivered to me. You can too! Want to experience what I do when I chuck lobster roll tweets all about?! Well, you can!
Seafood is pricey right now, but I can tell you, if you buy the lobster meat by itself or the lobster roll kits, you're going to get it next day (except weekends) and it is so fresh as can be, it's like getting it like I did, right off the wharf or right off the boats!

A11y Tip of the Month ♿️
Language Attributes: I recently went through all the podcast sites that I subscribe to, and while there are a few methods of calling in the <html lang="en-US">
in the site you build, many did not have this. Screen readers need the lang
attribute to know what language to announce things to the user. If your site does not have the lang
attribute, it leaves the screen reader or other assistive technology guessing!
Please! Add this to your sites. Let's make our sites as accessible as possible. I put the onus on the frameworks, while it may or may not be intentional, this is a crucial step in the path to accessibility!
---
I am still looking for a sponsor or sponsors for the podcast to help defray expenses for transcript/captioning software (Descript) and getting a new domain and website up! Please send anyone or company my way, or if you run a company, contact me!

This newsletter gets sent out on the first of every month. Tell your friends and tell your followers!
Until then, you can find the links below where you can find me and ask any questions you may have.
That's it for this month! Keep on being amazing and building great things!
Keep on, keepin’ on!!
