Dear Reader,
This week is what I call a launch week. A week where I am asking to be seen, repeatedly. A week where I email my most devoted students and readers an email every day about a class I am launching. This weekend I am teaching Systems for Artists and today I sent this email to the list.
Because I teach so frequently I have a lot of launch weeks, and because I’m not using social media I send a lot of emails. Standing at the edge of something, over and over, saying: here, this matters
In today’s installment of Behind the Scenes of Business I’ll walk you through the exact numbers of my class from last month Ritual Technologies : How Writers Make Contact. How much money came in, how many people signed up, how many people used scholarships, and some of the emails I sent.
It is my hope that by spelling this out for you you can see what is possible, replicate it, and have an even more succesful launch cycle.
I also walk us through getting over the anxiety of feeling like too much or not enough when it comes to how many times we remind people about our offerings.
I get into why I don’t really love words like “launching” when what I really am doing is just : informing the people about the next class I am teaching.
You are not too much! You are a signal, repeating until it lands. Flodesk tech and tips included. I’ll share about the metrics of Divinity and The Written Word too.
