Today I will dare to rest and not feel guilty about it

Today I will dare to go to the art museum

Today I will dare to be nicer to myself and not over analyze every other sentence I said while I was teaching yesterday

Today I will dare to rest, which does not mean stillness

It means the motion is paced for serenity

It is following momentum without urgency

May your day be full of ease, for ease is the ultimate sibling of rest

  1. The Beaches of Agnès is now my favorite documentary I have ever seen

  2. Headed to Labor Fest today in Grand Rapids - the art museum is free, food trucks, vendors, and more : May you find a local event in the spirit of solidarity

  3. My favorite local apothecary Lake and Woods is having a 15% off sale - not only does Kelly make amazing products but she is an incredible artist and every label is it’s own masterpiece

  4. My favorite band made up of my favorite boys are playing in Detroit Sept 21

  5. Remember when Jenny Lewis made this song?

  6. Alice Coltrane’s virgo harp energy

  7. For the record I am Team Flo

  8. How the pandemic prompted a dance fitness revolution : Pony Sweat in the LA Times! Few friendships are as meaningful and special to me as my friendship with Emilia - I feel so lucky to watch her change the world

  9. Nice song my brother made

  10. Sam and Kate are staring at me telling me I am not supposed to be working today, as a worker amongst workers I think a lot about working (wrote this book about it) and taking breaks, and resting. Yet I swim in the discipline of - today is Monday, and may I take Tuesday so sweetly off. The swirl of being your own boss, how to talk to that boss, how to earn, I am thinking about so many things. The luxury of loving my work, but the exhaustion of labor. The gratitude to all whose day off today is of endless value, may you be seen and held in all of it. Wednesday I have an interview coming out with Nicole Antoinette all about earning and money and I look forward to sharing it - check out the whole season here
