The last few weeks I have been struck by my need for togetherness. To be with the people. To have touch. Both physical touch and to touch in in the psychic way.
Cate and Mylène built the most amazing shower that has since been painted the same purple as the bathroom in the house. I am so grateful to Cate for visioning and heading up this project and Mylène for helping to complete it and paint it. Watching residents come here and work on their own practice and projects and add to this space is everything I ever dreamed of and more. It is actually beyond my dreams. I actually didn’t dream this. It is so rooted in reality and the hopes I have for queer people and land projects.
Now that I have a crush I take more selfies. I also sent her a mix tape from my small town to her small town and you can listen to it in playlist format. Gestures in the composition of slowness.
My other source of togetherness is Landscapes, where I am currently sitting while 44 people gather with me to work on their own writing. This space is also what I always hoped for, and I am so grateful to everyone who has shaped it into what it could be.
This Saturday at 12pm EST is our first guest writing workshop teacher. I am so inspired by Tamara’s work across many fields and modalities. If you are working in multiple disciplines I don’t think you’ll want to miss this!
If you want to hear me and Tamara talk about our work check out this episode of Common Shapes
I invite you to be in the togetherness of Landscapes, where not only are we connecting in the zoom room, but sharing resources and feeling much less alone in the digital hub hosted in Mighty Networks. Landscapes is sliding scale with low and no cost spaces available. No one is turned away from Landscapes!
I hope you have the most beautiful day. So much is brewing in my heart and I am grateful for you gentle reader. For touching in with me in your inbox. You are a gift!
