Dear Reader,
This week I was rejected twice in a day for things I applied to. Both were things I wanted, not desparately, but enough to risk the discomfort of not getting them.
I was also rejected from a teaching job at the local community college, probably because you needed an MFA and I don’t technically have one yet, or because I am wildly underqualified, but either way and with no way of knowing - rejected.
I am actively building my rejection tolerance at this time, working to apply to more things than I ever have in the last few years.
