Leaving Social Media and Sacred Attention with Amelia Hruby
Dear Reader
This morning I am beaming in to your inbox mid week from beautiful Maine where I have spent the week researching and teaching at Bates College. It has been such a gift to teach dance class in person, meet with art students in their studios, and help undergrads vision what they might want to do after they graduate.
Today I am also celebrating one year of Cody! Thank you to everyone who has affirmed and celebrated my name change in the last year. It hasn’t always been easy on the personal or professional level, but it has been worth it in being called the name that brings me great gender euphoria.
Today on Common Shapes I interview the one and only Amelia Hruby about leaving social media, doing business differently, and our sacred attention.
Amelia is absolutely responsible for getting me back into podcasting, not just because she happens to edit and produce Common Shapes but because as a listener of Off The Grid I felt so inspired to make my own channel of voice to the people.
I decided to take a little bit of time away from the show as I continue to work on edits for my next book, focus on school, and making this newsletter the best resource it can be. In the meantime reviews on Apple podcast still mean a lot as does sharing the show publicly or with a friend.
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy the show!
Cody
