In any design discipline, our connection with the audience is fundamental, and UX design defines how the user will experience a product. The goal of UX is to solve needs and satisfy the user in a comfortable, clear, and visually appealing way.

UX design encompasses the complete user experience. At CocijoType, we understand the importance of typography for app and product development, and we want to present our basic principles for type designed specifically for UX:
Basic principles of type for UX:
Versatility. The goal is a precise and direct message. We don’t want the font to steal the user’s attention; rather, we want them to easily understand the message the font intends to convey. This doesn’t mean neglecting aesthetics, but finding a perfect balance between functionality and visual appeal.
Accessibility. Easily recognizable letterforms even in situations where the text size might compromise legibility, designed with character distinctness at its core, for example differentiate between easily confused glyphs such as the lowercase i, uppercase I, lowercase l, and the figure 1.
Clarity. Whether on high-resolution displays or smaller mobile screens, the typeface maintains its integrity and readability.
At CocijoType, we have a new typeface that meets these requirements: Draco, designed for UX design and branding.
Draco is a font family of eight weights, ranging from ExtraLight to Black, carefully developed and optimized for proper rendering on various devices; designed for an optimal user experience.

Draco’s main features are straight ending terminals giving more aperture and legibility at small sizes, soft joints of curves and stems balancing the straight strokes with gentle curves. With OpenType features like tabular figures, fractions, ligatures and two sets of arrows, Draco is a good choice for apps, product design, and challenging environments.
