Summer Events!
To carry on the momentum from our Intro to Worker-Owned Co-ops in April, we have two new events to share!
Study Group
You’re invited to the first meeting of our new study group!
Thursday, July 30
6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Grandview Heights Public Library, conference room A
1685 1st Ave, Columbus, OH, 43212
This group will focus on the international reality of cooperativism and its future. We will be reading and discussing E.G. Nadeau's 2024 book, The Emerging Cooperative Economy. In it, Nadeau outlines a path for transitioning to an international economy based on increasing political and economic democracy, meeting human needs, and environmental sustainability. By examining examples, facts and figures, the book provides a hopeful roadmap for reaching a better world by 2050.

In the first meeting, we’ll go over introductions and logistics and will have some copies of the book available for sale. In subsequent meetings, we’ll cover two chapters of the book and work through co-op culture activities.
Exploring Intentional Communities
Roger Wilkens, founding member of the Currents community in Athens County, will discuss his history in the intentional community movement and all things cooperative living.
Thursday, August 20
6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Grandview Heights Public Library, large conference room
1685 1st Ave, Columbus, OH, 43212
