Intro to Worker-Owned Co-ops Presentation + More Updates

Hello friends!

Co-op Columbus has been working hard behind the scenes the last few months on some exciting things!

Intro to Worker-Owned Co-ops

First up, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be presenting an Introduction to Worker-Owned Cooperatives on Thursday, May 14th at 6pm at the Grandview Heights Public Library!

Members of Co-op Columbus will talk about the Solidarity Economy framework and will then dive a bit deeper on cooperative models with a specific focus on worker-owned businesses. Snacks and seltzer will be on hand for refreshment and we’ll have plenty of time at the end for group discussion!

New Website!

Co-op Columbus has a new website, built to help us accommodate all the things we have planned for the future—more frequent events, resource lists, services and more!

Check it out

Study Group

As we start to plan more events for the future, we want to gauge community interest in participating in a book club/study group around cooperative topics.

Fill out this form to let us know if you’re interested!

Co-op Spotlight

Members of Co-op Columbus have been working with the Bronzeville Food Co-op over the past year and some exciting news is coming soon!

Bronzeville Food Co-op is a group of community members and local nonprofits working to establish a co-op grocery store in the Near East Side neighborhood. This community-owned store will focus on high-quality local food and reinvest profits into our neighborhood.

Keep an eye on their mailing list and socials for announcements!

That’s all for now, we hope to see you at our event in May!
