Our Last Hike - Pride Hang & Hike @ Highland Forest!

Thanks so so much to everyone who came out to our first hang & hike!! 💚 We really had an abundance of snacks, crafts, games, & good vibes. And despite some worrying weather forecasts we managed to get lucky and avoid the rain and thunder 👍

Highland Forest was lush and full of life, including the many lichen-encrusted trees and mossy roof of the shelter keeping us company during the cookout. Mya led the group on a nature ID skillshare around the shelter where we identified several native & invasive plants, and even got to taste a few wild edible plants! 🌱

During times like these it's more important than ever to remember the power of queer joy as resistance, the importance of community, and be reminded of the beauty of nature... this is a world worth fighting for! Happy pride everyone!! 🌈✨
