Join CNY Hiking and DeTrash Syracuse for a community cleanup with a side of nature appreciation! We'll be traveling along Thornden Park's new walking path, picking up litter as we go and keeping an eye out for interesting urban plants and wildlife along the way.

DeTrash Syracuse is a local group that's been steadily cleaning up Syracuse one event at a time, with an incredible ~3,486 lbs of trash picked up so far! Accessibility & Notes:

We'll be traveling mostly unpaved paths with slight elevation, and trash pickup usually involves some bending and reaching. Please only do as much as feels comfortable, don’t push yourself! Don't forget sun protection like sunscreen, a hat, or sunglasses. 🌞

Our Last Event - Big Queer Beach Day at Green Lakes!

What a day. Our 2nd Annual Big Queer Beach Day at Green Lakes was even bigger and better than last year, all thanks to everyone who packed up their chairs, sunscreen, and snacks to come soak up the sun with the CNY queer community. 🌈✨

Huge thanks to our incredible co-hosts and collaborators who made this happen. this event only works because it's a true coalition effort: Meet Cute, CNY Hiking, FemmeCNY, WBB Club Syracuse, Syracuse Bears, Syracuse Guerilla Queer Events, Karina Jasmine, Pink Pegasus Press, Syracuse Queer History, 2Spirit Sanctuary, Syracuse Gaymers, and Front Porch Collective 💖 We're truly grateful to be building queer community alongside all of you.
