🌈 Birding Walk & BioBlitz at Sapsucker Woods! 10/4 @ 10AM
🐦 Spot some birds for citizen science!

Back to Ithaca for a birding BioBlitz! We'll be going for a stroll around Sapsucker Woods with the knowledgeable Anna (@chimney.swift) from Onondaga Audubon (@onondagaaudubon) with two goals in mind: spotting and hearing as many birds as possible, and documenting any cool flora & fauna we find in the name of citizen science!
Cornell is home to two other popular naturalist apps: Merlin and eBird! It's cool that these useful tools for ornithology were developed right here in CNY.

Our Last Two Events!
Stewardship Work Day at Baltimore Woods

Big thanks to everyone who made it out to Baltimore Woods for a beautiful morning of pulling invasive shrubs on a forested portion of the Bluebird Trail! As we move into fall it's nice to appreciate those cooler days still warmed by some sun, and the bright yellow fields of goldenrod 💛

Hike at Morgan Hill State Forest

It was a cloudy morning with a cold drizzle of rain, but the forest was green and alive 💚 Big thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy a walk through some of Morgan Hill State Forest's rustic trails. We spotted a lot of cool mushrooms, walked through an old graveyard, checked out Shackam Pond, and more!
