Some Big Updates + A New Feature
Hey!
I hope you’re having an awesome Tuesday.
I’ll get straight to the point: the new feature is Automatic Edit + Sharing!
And the new assistant (version 0.2.0) looks like this:
Edit Sharing
So, what is ‘Edit + Sharing’ and how does it help you?
Edit + Sharing items not only shares your items to your feed, but it also puts them at the top of the brand listings that they’re categorized in.
So, if you have a Nike hoodie, and you ‘Edit + Share’ it, it gets shared to your followers, and gets put at the top of the generic hoodies and/or Nike page!
To do it manually required users to go into the ‘edit’ page of every item and ‘submit’ the changes (even though you don’t have to make any changes).
The Closet Assistant does this automatically! It doesn’t make any changes to your items, it just shares them in a special way to make it look like an ‘Edit + Share’.
We’re getting very close to automating the 30 Minute Method (30 MM). The last feature is being able to auto-follow from the feed (not just from a followers list).
User Interface Updates
If you had been paying attention to the features roadmap you would have noticed that ‘Add More Tabs’ was one of the upates on deck. I did this because the actions tab was getting pretty crowded.
Today, I’m introducing the 🔁 and ⚡ tabs.
The 🔁 tab has the repeating actions, so things like sharing, and following.
The ⚡ tab has the single-actions, like organizing your closet and edit-sharing.
Hopefully it’s not too confusing, the tabs were getting smaller so the text was getting squished. That’s why I used Emojis.
As always, you can update your assistant by going to https://closet.tools/update, and if that doesn’t work, delete your browser image/file cache (I’ve found Chrome is particularly greedy about holding on to old files).
Also, if you have any questions, issues, or bug reports, send them my way!
